Beijing WTA 1000: Draw, Prize Money, Tournament Dates, Favorites
On Wednesday, September 25, the Women's Tennis Tournament in Beijing, China Open - WTA 1000, kicks off. The Dailysports team has prepared a complete breakdown of the tournament for you.
The matches will traditionally take place on the outdoor hard courts at the National Tennis Center complex.
The main draw begins on Wednesday, September 25, while the singles and doubles finals will be held on Sunday, October 6.
The reigning singles champion is world No. 1 Iga Świątek. Last year’s doubles title was claimed by Marie Bouzková and Sara Sorribes Tormo (Czech Republic/Spain).
This year, Świątek and other past champions will not participate in the tournament.
Among previous champions, only Japan’s Naomi Osaka (2019) will compete on the Beijing courts this season.
