Manchester United is wrapping up what is undoubtedly one of the most disappointing seasons in the club’s storied history. Yet, club legends remain confident that the team has the potential to achieve much more.
Details: David Beckham is convinced that Ruben Amorim is the right manager and needs to be supported during the upcoming summer transfer window. This support, Beckham emphasizes, isn’t just about bringing in new signings—it’s also about keeping Manchester United’s current leaders at Old Trafford.
Quote: “I believe we have a very good manager right now. I trust that there are a lot of people trying to bring stability to the club. He’s a young coach, yet he already has success and a wealth of experience for his age. So I think he’ll make the changes he needs to make.
I do think Ruben definitely needs support in bringing in the players he wants, but honestly, I don’t know how possible that is. I don’t speak to Jim that often, only from time to time. Ruben needs support as a manager to bring in his own team and his own philosophy; he’s already trying to do that, but I believe that when he gets his team and his players, you’ll see something different.
I’d like to think you won’t have to sell your captain. He’s been outstanding. I also don’t like the idea of any young player who’s grown up at United leaving the club. We shouldn’t be selling players just for financial reasons,” Beckham told The Athletic.
Reminder: It was previously reported that German clubs have shown interest in Amorim, but as of now, there are no discussions about the Portuguese manager leaving Manchester United.
