Bayern's Sporting Director Explains Why Tel Moved to Tottenham

During the winter transfer window, Mathys Tel left Bayern and joined Tottenham on loan. The Munich club explained the reasons behind this decision.

Details: In an interview with Bild, Bayern's sporting director Max Eberl stated that the situation did not develop as both parties had expected, hence the decision had to be made.

Quote: "The situation did not unfold as we had hoped. Sometimes tough decisions have to be made because a player's development stalls, and that doesn't satisfy anyone," noted Eberl.

Incidentally, Kimmich received a three-year contract offer from PSG. He has yet to respond and has taken time to consider. Kimmich's current contract with Bayern expires this summer, and the parties have yet to reach an agreement on an extension.
