According to ESPN, Bayern Munich has signed a long-term contract with 17-year-old winger Nestori Irankunda, representing Australia.

So far, the club has not reported the exact details of the agreement with the young footballer.

According to the source, Irankunda will join Bayern on July 1, 2024, since according to FIFA regulations he is not allowed to move to Europe until he turns 18. He will only become an adult in February.

The footballer was born in Tanzania and moved to Australia when he was three months old. Then his parents decided to leave the country because of the civil war.

Irankunda played his first senior match for Adelaide United at the age of 15 during the 2021/2022 season. In total, he scored eight goals in 799 minutes in two seasons in the Australian Championship. In most cases, the young Australian came on as a substitute.

The winger also plays for the Australia U17 national team. He was recently called up to the national team for a friendly match with Ecuador, but was not allowed to make his debut.
