Bayern Munich has successfully negotiated a new contract with legendary goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, but there’s a notable detail to consider.

Details: According to journalist Altshäffl, the "Rekordmeister" will extend Neuer's contract until 2026. However, discussions within the management are ongoing about bringing in another "strong" goalkeeper to compete alongside Neuer. Bart Verbruggen remains a key candidate under consideration.

There is also the possibility of recalling Alexander Nübel from his loan spell. Meanwhile, Daniel Peretz might be sent out on loan, and Sven Ulreich is expected to remain the third-choice goalkeeper.

Ahead of the sixth round of the Champions League against Shakhtar, Bayern’s head coach Vincent Kompany shared disappointing news for fans. According to the Belgian coach, Manuel Neuer will not play again in 2024.

Reminder: The German Football Association (DFB) has announced the suspension terms for the experienced goalkeeper. Neuer is banned for two matches in the DFB Cup. The punishment does not apply to the Bundesliga.
