Bayern Munich's main defender Dayot Upamecano has resumed training after his injury. Photographs posted online show the French defender engaged in running exercises.

It remains uncertain whether Upamecano will be able to assist the Munich team in their upcoming match against Borussia Monchengladbach on February 3.

Recall that the defender sustained an injury in the match against Union, making way for Erik Dier on the field.

The 25-year-old center-back has been with Bayern since 2021. The Munich superclub paid Leipzig €42 million for the player. In the current season, the French national team defender has played 22 matches in all competitions and scored two goals.

Defenders Bouna Sarr and Tarek Buchmann continue to be in the infirmary for the Munich team. Meanwhile, Kim Min-jae continues to compete in the AFC Asian Cup.

Today, Bayern Munich announced the acquisition of the promising Spanish winger Bryan Zaragoza.
