Bayern Munich Track Nigerian-Born Atalanta Teen Star

Bayern Munich are reportedly keeping a close watch on Atalanta’s teenage defensive sensation Honest Ahanor as they plan future transfer moves.

The Nigerian-born talent has enjoyed a stunning breakthrough season in Italy after joining Atalanta last summer from Genoa for €17 million. Despite his young age, Ahanor has already earned regular playing time in Serie A and the UEFA Champions League.

Born in Italy but eligible to represent Nigeria, the modern defender is admired for more than just his tackling. He combines physical strength with composure on the ball, while also showing the ability to step into midfield or push forward down the flank.

According to Sky, Bayern have added him to a long-term shortlist, although they remain focused on internal matters such as Dayot Upamecano’s contract.

Atalanta are expected to demand over €30 million, possibly up to €40 million, to sell.
