Bayern Munich honorary president has spoken out on the future fate of Alfonso Davies
Honorary president of Bayern Munich, Uli Hoeness, has commented on the future of team leader Alphonso Davies.
“We made it very clear to Davies that if he does not extend his contract, we will let him leave as a free agent. He will not receive more money, despite his demands,” Hoeness told Maximilian Koch.
It is noted that Real Madrid remains interested in Davies for the summer of 2025 if he becomes a free agent then.
Previously, it was reported that Davies and his agent want to include a release clause in the Canadian's contract. This is because Bayern would receive a significant bonus if Davies leaves the club in the future.
We recently reported that the Munich club wants to secure their winger Leroy Sané for the long term and plans to continue negotiations with the player.
