Bayern Munich has shown interest in Milan and English national team's center-back Fikayo Tomori, as reported by Skysport.de.

The Munich club has reportedly been discussing the potential transfer of the 26-year-old center-back for several weeks. Christoph Freun, the sporting director, particularly admires the talent of the English defender.

However, the transfer seems highly unlikely in January for several reasons. Firstly, Tomori is currently injured. Secondly, Milan isn't keen on selling the player as they're already facing issues in the center of their defense.

Yet, it's not ruled out that Bayern might still attempt to sign the defender.

This season, Tomori has played 22 matches in all competitions and scored three goals. At the end of December, the defender sustained an injury and isn't expected to return to the field before mid-February.

Bayern sits in the second position in the Bundesliga and is trailing Bayer. Milan is in the third position in Serie A.
