Bayern have reacted to the club's attributed interest in Alonso

After the announcement of Thomas Tuchel's departure as Bayern's head coach, the media started talking about who will lead the Recordmeister in the next campaign. One of the favourites is Bayer coach Xabi Alonso, but Munich themselves are not so categorical.

According to Bayern chief executive Jan-Christian Dressen speaking to ZDF, claims about Alonso as of now are nothing less than speculation:

"Speculation is useless now. We have to consider all good coaches and then hopefully find the best one for us, who we can get in the summer."

Alonso's side are unbeaten in all competitions this season and are favourites to knock Bayern, who have won the Bundesliga since 2012, off the championship roost.
