Bayern have been intriguingly vocal about de Ligt's likely move to Man United
One of the most speculated rumours in the summer transfer window is the possible move of Matthijs de Ligt from Bayern to Manchester United. The word on this transfer has been taken by Munich as well.
According to Recordmeister sporting director Max Eberl, the Dutchman is "still a Bayern player":
"I will comment on the reasons when the time comes. For now, it's still a long way off. Matthijs has played very well here for two years and that's why many fans like him. However, you have to think about how you make the decision and how the guy feels. He is still a Bayern player. And as long as he is, he will get all the support he needs from us," Eberle told Sky Sports.
Earlier it was reported that de Ligt himself is ready to take a pay cut just to join Manchester United. The clubs are still unable to agree over the cost for the Dutchman.
