Bayern have announced the transfer of the Stuttgart defender
Today, Bayern Munich completed their first transfer under the management of newly appointed head coach Vincent Kompany.
Central defender Hiroki Ito has moved from Stuttgart to Munich. Bayern paid his release clause of €30 million for the transfer.
The Japanese player has signed a four-year contract with Bayern.
“It is a great honor for me to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world. The name Bayern also has a good reputation in Japan. I always gave my all at Stuttgart and am grateful to the club. Now I look forward to the challenge in Munich and want to contribute to Bayern winning many titles. It is time to take the next step, and Bayern is the perfect club for me.”
Ito joined Stuttgart in the summer of 2022 from Júbilo Iwata. Last season, in which Stuttgart finished in second place, the 25-year-old Japanese player made 26 appearances and provided 2 assists.
