Stuttgart's goalkeeper Alexander Nübel, whose rights are owned by Bayern Munich, has stated that he would like to remain in his current club for at least another season.

“I still have another year on my contract with Bayern, but I feel very comfortable in Stuttgart. We'll talk, staying in Stuttgart is definitely a very, very good option. I can say that so openly”, – Nübel said in an interview with DAZN.

Nübel moved to Bayern in the summer of 2020 from Schalke as a free agent. In his first season, he served as Manuel Neuer's backup, and then spent two years on loan at Monaco.

Last summer, Stuttgart loaned the 27-year-old goalkeeper, where he became an undisputed player in the first team. Nübel played in 24 Bundesliga matches, conceding 31 goals and keeping 8 clean sheets.

After 27 rounds of the Bundesliga, Stuttgart unexpectedly holds the third position, with a 7-point lead over RB Leipzig, who are fifth.
