After Nice's 4-1 victory over Saint-Étienne, which secured their Ligue 1 status, 42-year-old defender Dante has officially retired from professional football.

Details: Despite a challenging season, Nice managed to stay in France's top flight: Claude Puel's side defeated Saint-Étienne in the second leg, with a 4-1 result sending the visitors down to Ligue 2.
