Paris Saint-Germain and France national team defender Nordi Mukiele has been drawing interest from Bayern Munich for several weeks now. The German club's managers have prioritized the Frenchman as their primary target and in recent days have been in contact with their counterparts in Paris regarding a potential loan with an option to buy the player, as reported by L'Équipe. While the exact deal amount remains undisclosed, it's estimated to be around €25 million, significantly more than the €12 million the French club paid for him last season.

Nordi Mukiele emerged from the youth academy of Laval. In 2017, he moved to Montpellier for €1.5 million and a year later joined RB Leipzig for €16 million.

Last season, Mukiele featured in 24 matches for Paris Saint-Germain, and in the current season, he has participated in ten games. The 26-year-old defender's contract with the Parisian club extends until the summer of 2027. He has been part of the PSG team that clinched the French championship and secured the country's Cup twice. Additionally, with RB Leipzig, he claimed the German Cup.

He made his debut for the senior French national team last year.

Earlier reports indicated that Bayern Munich was close to finalizing a deal for Tottenham and England defender Eric Dier.
