Bayer star Jeremie Frimpong signs £20m endorsement deal with New Balance
Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong is set to become the new face of New Balance’s European division, reports Daily Mail. The footballer has signed a staggering £20 million deal with the sportswear giant.
The agreement will be closely tied to Frimpong’s charitable organization, Pathways, which focuses on supporting footballers who have been unable to achieve success at the highest level.
Frimpong, a product of Manchester City’s academy, previously played for Scottish side Celtic before making the move to Germany in 2021, joining Bayer Leverkusen. Last season, he played a key role in Leverkusen’s surprising triumph, lifting the Bundesliga’s Silver Salver.
The Dutchman is expected to be on the move again this summer, with England emerging as the most likely destination. Liverpool and Manchester United are among the clubs showing strong interest in securing his services.
This season, Frimpong has featured in 29 matches across all competitions for Bayer, scoring two goals and providing nine assists.
