The Bundesliga has named the best player of the league for the past month. This time, the award went to the leader of Bayer Leverkusen, Florian Wirtz.
In the voting, Wirtz surpassed his teammates Jeremy Frimpong and Álex Grimaldo, RB Leipzig midfielder Xavi Simons, Bochum midfielder Kevin Stoger, and Bundesliga's top scorer Harry Kane from Bayern Munich.
This marks the third Player of the Month award for Wirtz in the current season.
In February, Wirtz contributed 3 assists in 4 matches. In total, he has scored 6 goals and provided 10 assists in 25 Bundesliga matches this season.
It is worth noting that Bayer Leverkusen unexpectedly leads the Bundesliga. The team, managed by Xabi Alonso, holds a 10-point lead over Bayern Munich.
