Battle for English talent! Bournemouth trying to keep star player from joining Chelsea or Liverpool

The Cherries’ management is pulling out all the stops to protect their key midfielder from the Premier League giants’ advances.

Details: According to TEAMtalk, Bournemouth are stepping up negotiations over a new contract with 23-year-old midfielder Alex Scott. The club is determined to convince the player to sign an improved deal before January.

Bournemouth’s increased activity is driven by unrelenting pressure from top clubs. Chelsea and Liverpool are seriously interested in the promising Englishman. Last summer, the Blues had already offered around £60 million for the player, but their bid was categorically rejected.

Despite the suitors’ willingness to return to the race for the midfielder during the winter window, Bournemouth are determined to keep Scott in the squad at least until the end of the current season.

It is worth noting that the Bristol City academy graduate has represented Bournemouth since August 2023. As of today, the respected analytics portal Transfermarkt values Alex Scott at €50 million.
