Barcelona's former sporting director could return to the club
Possibly, changes are looming not only in the position of head coach but also in the management structure of Barcelona.
As reported by Relevo, Barcelona's president Joan Laporta is not entirely satisfied with the performance of the club's sporting director, Dec, and is contemplating the return of his predecessor, Mateu Alemany.
It is expected that Laporta will engage in discussions with Alemany in the near future to persuade him to come back. However, thus far, the Barcelona president has not taken any concrete steps in this direction.
Alemany left Barcelona at the end of the previous season by his own volition. Afterward, he was linked with Aston Villa and Atlético, but he remains unemployed.
Recall that Barcelona has already officially dismissed Xavi, and tomorrow will introduce Hansi Flick as the new head coach.
