According to sources, Newcastle United is interested in the player. The English team has identified Christensen as a priority target for the winter transfer window. The "Magpies" are considering reinforcing their defense following less than stellar performances this season. However, it's uncertain whether Newcastle can sign the defender in the winter, as potential violations of Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations could pose a hurdle.

It is worth recalling that Christensen joined Barcelona as a free agent on July 4, 2022, signing a contract with the club until 2026. The release clause was set at 500 million euros. On August 13, 2022, he made his debut for the Catalan club in the first round of the Spanish league against Rayo Vallecano.
