Barcelona’s challenging situation in midfield has forced the club to look towards the winter transfer market for reinforcements, and they have already identified their priority target.
Details: According to Marca, Barça will attempt to sign PSV and Netherlands international midfielder Jerdy Schouten in January.
It is noted that Barcelona considered acquiring Schouten in the summer, but were unable to afford him due to financial constraints. The club hopes to return to the 1:1 rule in winter, which would allow them to bring in new players.
PSV values Schouten at €25 million.
Reminder: At the start of the season, Hansi Flick placed his trust in 17-year-old academy graduate Marc Bernal, but he suffered a cruciate ligament injury in the match against Rayo Vallecano (2:1).
