Barcelona wants to retain two players who are currently playing on loan

Barcelona's sporting director, Joan Laporta, has confirmed that the club wants to retain the two Portuguese players currently on loan, João Félix and João Cancelo.
According to Laporta, the club is very keen on keeping the players, and the club's sporting director, Deco, is working on this.
"We want both João Félix and João Cancelo to stay, and Deco is working on it. The quality of João Félix is something wonderful; I am pleased with his season. Hans-Dieter Flick already wanted to see João Félix at Bayern," stated Laporta.
Recently, it was reported that Barcelona hopes to extend Cancelo's loan for another season. Additional negotiations with Manchester City are planned soon. Cancelo's contract with City is valid until 2027.
In the concluded season, Cancelo played 42 matches for Barcelona, scoring 4 goals and providing 5 assists. Transfermarkt values the player at 40 million euros.
João Félix belongs to Atlético Madrid but joined Barça on loan last year. In the current season, he has played 30 matches, scoring seven goals and providing three assists.
