Barcelona wants to extend the contract of the defender, who is interested in top European clubs

The future of Ronald Araujo at Barcelona has been a topic of much discussion lately. While the Uruguayan's contract runs until 2026, interest has been shown in him from Bayern Munich and Manchester United.

Fabrizio Romano, during an interview with The Daily Briefing, stated that Araujo is attracting interest from many top clubs in Europe, but this won't prevent Barcelona from extending his contract.

In the current season, Araujo has played 32 matches for Barcelona, providing one assist. He is a regular starter and only finds himself on the bench for matches against obvious underdogs.
