Barcelona want to get the Premier League club's midfielder as a free agent

Despite wanting a significant clean-up of the squad following Xavi's departure, Barcelona are also looking at potential reinforcements for the summer.

According to Diario Sport, the Blaugrana are still eyeing Arsenal midfielder Jorginho, who they wanted to sign when he was the last Chelsea player.

Then the transfer failed, but now the 32-year-old Italian can even try to sign as a free agent, as his contract with the Gunners expires next summer.

Earlier, it was reported that Jorginho's agent Joao Santos held talks with representatives of two Saudi clubs about the player's transfer.

This season, the midfielder has played in 26 games for Arsenal, but only half of them he was in the starting line-up. In these games, Jorginho has scored one goal and one assist.
