Barcelona to Attempt Signing Bruno Guimarães This Summer. Player Remains on Arsenal and Manchester City's Radar

Barcelona is considering a summer transfer for Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimarães.

Details. According to CaughtOffside, Barcelona views the summer as an opportune moment to attempt signing Guimarães, who is seen as a potential replacement for Frenkie de Jong.

Barcelona is eager to try and sign the player as de Jong's contract expires in 2026, and the parties have yet to agree on an extension.

Sources close to the situation describe the next few weeks as "crucial" for the Catalan club to determine if this deal is realistic, given the established financial issues of recent years.

Arsenal and Manchester City have previously shown interest in Guimarães, and he remains on their radar. However, it is unknown whether the clubs will make an offer for the Magpies' midfielder.

Reminder. It was previously reported that Manchester United is ready to pay big money for Barcelona's young star Casado.
