Barcelona presidential candidate Victor Font has promised that, if elected, one of his first actions will be to reach out to Lionel Messi.
Details: Victor Font stated that he intends to restore respect and attention to the club legend, as Laporta has recently used him solely for political purposes.
"Laporta has used him for political purposes, many times and poorly, but this shouldn't happen," Font said.
Font emphasized that his priority is to support Leo Messi in every way, and that erecting a statue at Camp Nou is just the first step in this mission.
"We need to embrace Leo Messi and do everything possible for him. His statue at Camp Nou is only the beginning," the candidate added.
It should be noted that the Barcelona presidential elections will take place in the spring of 2026.
