Barcelona president voices which clubs are ready to play in Super League
Barcelona President Joan Laporta stated that he is not concerned about whether English clubs will be part of the Super League project. He also revealed the names of clubs that have already agreed to participate in the inaugural season.
"The Super League may start in the next season or in 2025-26, and if not, I will reconsider everything. I don't care if English teams join. They already have their Super League - the Premier League," quoted Laporta by Diario AS.
Regarding the clubs willing to participate in the Super League, Laporta mentioned, in addition to Barcelona and Real Madrid, Inter Milan, AC Milan, Napoli, Roma, PSV, Ajax, Porto, Sporting Lisbon, Benfica, Marseille, Feyenoord, Club Brugge, and Anderlecht.
Recall that the Super League won the case against UEFA in the European Court regarding monopoly abuse. However, despite this, the majority of top clubs released statements expressing non-support for the Super League project.
