Barcelona offers contract to its star player
Barcelona's management has moved into high gear to keep Robert Lewandowski on their roster.
Details: According to Krrish, in recent hours, the club has officially put a new proposal on the table—an extension until June 2027. However, the terms are particularly tough: the Blaugrana insist on a 40–50% pay cut for the Polish striker.
Currently, the forward’s annual salary, including all bonuses, is around €24 million, and the club is determined to significantly lighten its wage bill in accordance with financial fair play regulations.
Negotiations have already begun with Lewandowski’s agent, Pini Zahavi. The parties are discussing not only Robert’s future but also a range of issues, including a contract extension for head coach Hansi Flick and the potential transfer of young talent Luka Vuskovic.
Despite Barcelona’s belief in Lewandowski’s desire to stay in Catalonia, no final decision has been made yet. The striker plans to discuss the move with his family, especially given the extremely lucrative offers on the table from MLS and Saudi Arabia, as well as interest from Italian giants Juventus and Milan.
Reminder: Diego Simeone is ready to repeat the result of the first match against Barcelona.
