Barcelona legend could take charge of Chelsea
London's Chelsea, still actively searching for a new head coach after Liam Rosenior's departure, has set its sights on Xavi Hernandez.
Details: According to The Mirror, the Spanish football legend is on the shortlist for the Blues. Xavi, who has been without a club since leaving Barcelona, is being considered by the London side as a manager capable of instilling a recognizable attacking style and building a long-term development strategy.
Xavi himself recently confirmed in an interview with The Athletic that working in the English Premier League is his top priority. The Spaniard emphasized that he's not drawn to any particular club, but to the opportunity to be part of an ambitious and stable project.
“I'm not in a rush, but I'd like to work on a good project where I’m given about four years to build a team,” he shared.
Reminder: Manchester City have set their sights on Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez.
