Barcelona Joins Liverpool in Battle for Omar Marmoush as Future Hangs in the Balance
Barcelona has joined Liverpool in the race to sign Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush, who continues to shine at Eintracht Frankfurt. A Barcelona scout attended Frankfurt’s Europa League clash against Midtjylland, where Marmoush starred with a goal and an assist in a 2-1 victory.
This season, the 24-year-old player has scored 15 goals and made 11 assists in all games, showing great skill. Because of this, big clubs like Manchester United, Tottenham, and Paris Saint-Germain are interested in him.
Reports say that Barcelona thinks Marmoush is a good choice that they can afford, since his value is around €40 million. He is viewed by the team as a possible replacement for Robert Lewandowski, who will turn 37 in 2025.
Marmoush's future continues to stoke curiosity throughout Europe, but Frankfurt is adamant about preserving their star, with sports director Timo Hardung denying rumors of talks with Liverpool and establishing a potential price tag between €50 and €60 million.
