Hamza Abdelkarim is on the verge of etching his name into Egyptian football history, poised to become the first Egyptian ever to play for Barcelona.
Details: According to Gabriel Sans, the Catalan club has made significant progress in negotiations with Al Ahly and is nearing a final agreement on the transfer. The deal is expected to be finalized soon, after which the player will be able to join the Blaugrana.
The agreement involves a six-month loan until June, with a €1.5 million buy option in the summer. The contract also includes bonuses up to €3.5 million and a 15% sell-on clause from any future transfer, making Barcelona's offer highly attractive to the Egyptian club.
It's worth noting that Barcelona's initial offer was rejected by the Egyptian club, but now both parties are ready to seal the deal.
This season, the Egyptian has featured in just five matches for his club, without any goal contributions. Transfermarkt currently values him at just €100,000.
Recall: Barcelona are also monitoring Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka.
