Barcelona has revised its transfer market strategy ahead of the summer window.
Details: According to Cadena SER, the club’s top target—Atlético striker Julián Álvarez—may be out of reach for the Blaugrana. The Madrid club is reportedly demanding over £100 million for the Argentine, a price tag that is simply unaffordable given Barcelona’s current budget constraints.
As a result, Barcelona’s management has intensified its search for alternative attacking options. On the club’s shortlist is forward João Pedro, who is seen as a more attainable and tactically versatile candidate. The Brazilian has already proven himself as a player capable of covering several attacking roles—an attribute highly valued by Hansi Flick’s coaching staff.
This season, the Brazilian striker has featured in 46 matches for the London club, scoring 19 goals and providing 9 assists. Transfermarkt currently values him at €75 million.
Reminder: It has been revealed when Barcelona winger Raphinha will return to full training with the squad.
