RB Leipzig's attacking midfielder and Spanish national team player Dani Olmo may make a move to Barcelona in the coming summer.

As reported by Diario Sport, the Spanish champions have already begun working on Olmo's transfer. A few days ago, Barcelona's sporting director, Deco, held a meeting with representatives of the 25-year-old player.

Olmo dreams of playing for Barcelona and has asked his agents to find a solution for the transfer.

Barcelona aims to complete the transfer before Euro 2024, fearing that there will be more contenders for Olmo after the tournament, making it harder to secure his signing.

Olmo's contract includes a release clause of €60 million, but Barcelona is negotiating with RB Leipzig in hopes of lowering the price.

Barcelona appreciates Olmo's ability to play both on the left flank of the attack and in the center behind the striker. The club believes it can make optimal use of his versatility.

Olmo is a product of Barcelona's academy, but in 2014, he decided to join Dynamo Zagreb's academy. Since the summer of 2020, he has been playing for RB Leipzig, scoring 8 goals and providing 5 assists in 18 matches across all competitions.
