Barcelona has no intention of signing another player as a replacement for Gavi, who suffered an injury, according to Marca.

Sources indicate that the Catalan club does not want to make any signings, as their priority is currently focused on the transfer of Atletico Paranaense forward Vitor Roque. Purchasing another player would be too costly given the challenging economic situation. Additionally, Barcelona believes in Fermin Lopez's capabilities to fill in for Gavi.

The club also considers five midfielders sufficient until the end of the season. These include Pedri, Ilkay Gundogan, Frenkie de Jong, Oriol Romeu, and Lopez.

The injury to Barcelona and Spain's midfielder Gavi has proven to be quite serious. The 19-year-old suffered damage to the cruciate ligament and lateral meniscus, as reported by the Catalan club's press service on November 20. It is noted that the young midfielder will undergo surgery in the near future.

As previously known, the young talent of the Spain national team sustained the injury during a European Championship 2024 qualifying match against Georgia (3-1). Gavi suffered the injury in the 26th minute of the match and had to leave the field. Medical prognosis earlier suggested that the midfielder would not recover in time for the upcoming European Championship 2024.
