Barcelona defender Ronald Araújo proposes to his girlfriend, mother of their two children
A joyful moment unfolded in the life of Barcelona defender Ronald Araújo as the Uruguayan proposed to his girlfriend, Abigail Oliveira. The couple, who already have two children together, shared photos of the special event on Oliveira's Instagram account.
Araújo organized a celebration to mark his contract extension with Barcelona, and during the party, he dropped to one knee to ask Oliveira to marry him. Naturally, she said "yes."
The proposal comes shortly after Araújo finalized his contract extension with Barcelona. Previously, there were numerous rumors suggesting he was considering a move to Juventus. However, after discussions with Barcelona’s sporting director Deco, the defender chose to stay with the Catalan club.
Araújo recently returned from a hamstring injury that sidelined him for four months. So far this season, he has played only five matches, contributing one assist.
Barcelona currently sits third in La Liga, trailing Atlético Madrid and Real Madrid.
