Another marquee signing for Barcelona! The club prepares official bid for Julián Álvarez
Catalan giants Barcelona aren't stopping after the signing of Anthony Gordon.
Details: According to insider Fabrizio Romano, after recent reports suggesting the deal was unlikely, the situation has flipped 180 degrees. It has now emerged that Barcelona are preparing their first official offer to Atlético Madrid for striker Julián Álvarez and will send it very soon.
The Catalan club intends to make a straightforward purchase: the offer will be purely a cash deal, with no Barcelona players included in any exchange.
The Argentine forward himself is determined. Several months ago, Álvarez flatly refused to extend his contract with Atlético and has already informed the "Colchoneros" management of his desire to leave the club.
Barcelona's management have already held a face-to-face meeting with the player's agent and deal intermediaries, fully agreeing on the transfer strategy.
Recall: It has been revealed when Anthony Gordon will undergo his medical and sign his contract with Barcelona.
