After several loan spells, central defender Clément Lenglet is set to leave Barcelona on a permanent basis.
According to Cadena COPE, Lenglet has agreed on personal terms with Atlético Madrid. Barcelona is ready to sell the Frenchman to reduce their wage bill and is awaiting an offer from the Madrid club.
However, Atlético Madrid needs to sell João Félix first to free up space for registering Lenglet. Chelsea has shown interest in the Portuguese forward. Only after Félix's departure will Atlético be able to finalize the deal for Lenglet.
In addition to Atlético, Villarreal also expressed interest in the 29-year-old center-back, but Lenglet has chosen to join the Colchoneros.
Last season, Lenglet played on loan at Aston Villa, and before that, he spent a season at Tottenham Hotspur.
