Barcelona captain could continue his career at an unexpected club

Experienced midfielder and Barcelona captain Sergi Roberto will leave the Catalan club this summer.

Several clubs are interested in the services of the midfielder. According to Fabrizio Romano, one of the contenders is Ajax Amsterdam.

Ajax have a concrete interest in the player, Sergi will consider all options in the coming days and make a decision on his future.

Sergi Roberto's contract with Barcelona expired back in June, and he will not sign a new agreement.

Earlier it was reported that three La Liga clubs are interested in Roberto: Valencia, Sevilla and Girona. He is ready to consider all three options, but first wants to wait for offers from the English Premier League.

Sergi Roberto, 32, has spent his entire career at Barcelona. He has 373 games, 19 goals and 43 assists for his hometown club.
