Barcelona are working on a contract extension for the 2024 Olympics star

The expected deal will be a five-year contract that includes a substantial salary increase for the young midfielder.

Last season, Fermín López made an unexpected breakthrough into Barcelona's first team, scoring 11 goals and providing 1 assist in 43 appearances across all competitions.

This summer, the 21-year-old also won gold at the 2024 Olympics with the Spanish national team, where he contributed 6 goals and 2 assists.
