Barcelona has identified an unexpected option to strengthen their left-wing attack.
According to Relevo, Barcelona is considering signing Hull City talent Jadon Philogene. The Catalan club is prepared to offer Hull City a loan agreement with an option to buy.
Philogene is considered an alternative for Barcelona if they cannot reach an agreement with Athletic Bilbao star Nico Williams. Barcelona has been monitoring the 22-year-old winger for several months and has been impressed by his skills.
A potential obstacle to the transfer is that Philogene's parent club, Aston Villa, holds a right of first refusal to buy back the player.
In the recently concluded Championship season, Philogene scored 12 goals and provided 6 assists in 32 matches. For the England U-21 national team, he has scored 3 goals in 4 appearances.
