During the upcoming offseason, Barcelona will be constrained in their purchases due to ongoing financial woes. Nevertheless, despite this, they continue to cast their eye on significant players.

The current squad under Xavi Hernandez lacks a natural left-winger. While Raphinha fills this position, Catalan requires a left flanker who is inherently suited to the role.

Hence, they are eyeing Liverpool forward Luis Diaz. According to reports from Sport, the Colombian player is highly regarded at Barcelona, and they feel that he reciprocates their interest. The player himself is keen on joining the Blaugrana.

It is believed that Xavi Hernandez admires Diaz, and the signing of the Colombian could influence the Barcelona coach's decision to remain with the team.

However, the prospect of the player moving to the Spanish giant is considered unlikely, as Liverpool will not want to release Diaz for a low price. The forward's contract runs until 2027, and he has become a regular member of Jürgen Klopp's team, while Barcelona is currently grappling with significant financial issues. According to data from the statistical portal Transfermarkt, the player's contract is valued at €75 million.
