Barau's FC Coach Eugene Agagbe Commends Officiating After Sporting Lagos Draw

Barau FC head coach Eugene Agagbe has commended the officiating following his team's 1-1 draw at Sporting Lagos in the Nigeria Premier Football League.

Agbgbe expressed satisfaction with how the match officials managed the game as Barau FC earned a valuable point away from home. The result keeps Barau FC unbeaten and top of the league in the 2026/27 NPFL campaign.

Barau FC coach was asked after the match between Barau FC and Sporting Lagos what he had to say about the league officiating.

He said, "Officiating is good. How do I say that officiating is good? Because the league now is not a league of yesterday. The referees have stepped up. The referees want to also be in the CAF Champions League; they want to be in African competitions, so every referee now, you give him a whistle, he comes onto the field, and he distinguishes himself. So, officiating in the Nigerian league now is good to go. Thank you.”

Agbgbe and his team will now turn their focus to their next league game.
