Bangladesh defeat Zimbabwe but bow out of the Under-19 World Cup
The Bangladesh Under-19 cricket team wrapped up their campaign at the Under-19 World Cup. In their final Super Six encounter, the squad secured a convincing 74-run win over one of the tournament's hosts, Zimbabwe. Iqbal Hossain Emon delivered a stellar performance, earning player of the match honors with a five-wicket haul.
During the group stage, Bangladesh defeated the USA, lost to India, and their clash with New Zealand was abandoned. In the Super Six, they suffered a defeat to England, rendering the match against Zimbabwe a mere formality for both sides.
It's worth noting that Australia, Afghanistan, and England have already secured their spots in the semifinals. The final berth will be contested between India and Pakistan in a head-to-head clash tomorrow, February 1. Reigning world champions Australia remain in the hunt for another title.
