The two Senegalese players are leaving as free agents upon the expiry of their respective contracts.

Bamba Dieng is leaving FC Lorient after three seasons, which included a loan spell at Angers. The Senegalese centre-forward did not renew his contract, which officially expired on 30 June.

Dieng enjoyed an impressive 2025–2026 season playing for the French club. He scored 10 goals and provided one assist in Ligue 1. However, he will now be looking for a new club to continue his career.

Sambou Soumano is also leaving Lorient. The Senegalese striker’s time at the French club was marked by several loan spells. But he is now leaving Lorient to seek a new challenge. Like Bamba Dieng, Sambou Soumano’s departure was announced on 3 July.
