Everton has made it even tougher for top clubs to land their standout defender, Jarrad Branthwaite, slapping a £75 million price tag on the “Toffees” centre-back. For giants like Chelsea and Manchester United, the task has just become even more complicated.
Details: The 23-year-old defender has signed a new contract with Everton that runs all the way until 2030. While the specifics of the deal remain undisclosed, the lengthy commitment alone makes it clear: the Liverpool-based club now holds a much stronger position in negotiations with potential suitors. As for Branthwaite himself, he’s delighted to be staying at Everton.
Quote: “I’m over the moon. We spoke about this towards the end of last season, and now that it’s signed, I’m really happy. The faith the club has shown in me and the number of matches I’ve played over the last two seasons made the decision to stay very easy. I want to keep developing as a player,” Branthwaite said.
