Bad news for Real: Mbappé sidelined with injury, will miss Spanish Super Cup matches
French striker Kylian Mbappé will be out of action for Real Madrid for at least three weeks.
Details: According to L'Equipe, an MRI scan conducted on Wednesday revealed damage to the outer knee ligament, requiring both treatment and rest.
Mbappé had been playing for several weeks with this injury, unaware of its seriousness, but was finally forced to take a break as he could no longer accelerate or perform at his usual level.
As a result, the injury will certainly rule him out of La Liga fixtures against Betis and Levante, as well as the Spanish Super Cup semifinal against Atlético. Should Real progress to the final, Mbappé will also be unavailable for that showdown.
Notably, this season the Frenchman has featured in 24 matches for Real across all competitions, racking up an impressive 29 goals and four assists.
Reminder: Real is set to extend the contract of Moroccan international Brahim Díaz.
