This season, Chelsea has faced an extraordinary number of player injuries across all positions, impacting even those who joined the team over the summer.

Newcomer Roméo Lavia, who had joined the Blues in the summer, spent four months sidelined due to ankle issues before making his debut for the team in December.

A similar fate befell Christopher Nkunku, who sustained a knee injury during pre-season matches, keeping him out until mid-December. Despite playing only four matches, he was not included in Chelsea's squad for yesterday's FA Cup match against Preston. According to team coach Mauricio Pochettino, the French footballer injured his thigh during training, without specifying a recovery timeline. Today, insider Rahman Osman reported that Nkunku will be sidelined for approximately two to three weeks.

Christopher Nkunku joined Chelsea from RB Leipzig for €60 million and has appeared in official matches only four times, all last month. With a total of 153 minutes on the field, he managed to score one goal.
