Central defender Thilo Kehrer has officially made the switch from West Ham to Monaco. The Ligue 1 club has secured the German footballer on loan until the end of the season, with an option to make the deal permanent.

The acquisition of Kehrer was spearheaded by Monaco's head coach, Adi Hütter, who has a notable familiarity with the player from their time in the Bundesliga.

In the current season, the 27-year-old German found himself out of the regular starting lineup at West Ham, making appearances in only 12 matches across all competitions.

Kehrer has previous experience in French football, having played for PSG from 2018 to 2022. During his time in Paris, he featured in 128 matches and scored 4 goals. Before his stint in Paris, Kehrer competed for Schalke in his homeland.

Additionally, Kehrer has earned 27 caps for the German national team.

After 17 rounds in Ligue 1, Monaco currently holds the third position in the league standings.
