Awkward: Old photo surfaces of Taylor Swift wearing Eagles sweater before Super Bowl

With the Super Bowl just days away, where the Kansas City Chiefs will face off against the Philadelphia Eagles, Taylor Swift's allegiance seemed obvious—until an old photo resurfaced showing her wearing an Eagles sweater in public.

The image, taken in June 2023, emerged online, raising eyebrows among fans. However, it's worth noting that at the time, Swift was not yet dating Chiefs star Travis Kelce.

Swift has long had ties to Philadelphia, having been born in the city's suburbs. She even referenced her Eagles fandom in her song Gold Rush and later confirmed in a concert that the lyric was about the football team. Back in 2010, Swift even took the stage during a tour wearing an Eagles jersey.

While her past Eagles loyalty is clear, there's little doubt that she’ll now be cheering for the Chiefs on Super Bowl Sunday, given her relationship with Kelce. The tight end has previously stated that Swift is fully behind Kansas City heading into the big game.
