Australian tennis player Daria Kasatkina announces engagement to her girlfriend

Australian tennis star Daria Kasatkina has shared some joyful news from her personal life. On her Instagram page, the athlete announced her engagement to her longtime girlfriend, Natalia Zabiiako.
Kasatkina posted a photo revealing a ring on Natalia's finger. She captioned the post with the phrase, “And just like that 💭💜.”
It’s worth recalling that Kasatkina and Zabiiako have been together since 2021. They publicly confirmed their relationship in the summer of 2022, when Daria also came out as a lesbian.
Notably, in March 2025, it was reported that Kasatkina had changed her sporting nationality from Russian to Australian. She made this decision after coming out, as the LGBT community is considered an extremist movement in Russia. Another reason was Kasatkina’s public condemnation of Russia’s military invasion of Ukraine.
Currently, Daria is ranked 16th in the world. Incidentally, she recently competed at Roland Garros, where she reached the round of 16 before falling to Mirra Andreeva.
